While exploring other spiritual perspectives and traditions has its own merit, it usually doesn't solve the problem because the problem is in the person.  not the religion or the spiritual tradition.  Truth is truth.  If human beings want to disregard the truth, and desecrate it with hypocrisy, even killing others in the name of it -- that doesn't do a damn thing to the truth.  It doesn't change it one bit.  The truth is still the truth.  No religion or spiritual tradition is immune to human corruption and greed.  THat is why it is so important to find one's own way.
