the part of the psychological descent which is a part of the rebirth process is expressed in the names "snake creeps down" and "needle at the sea bottom"  on the other hand we have "carry the tiger to the mountain" and "slanting flying".  the ascent and descent are the 2 halves of the whole...  one cannot exist without the other.
