- Right then, as Nolan started his next sentence, he was interrupted by a shicking jolt from his right hand side...
There was a crunching aluminum-metallic sound and the screeching of tires. It all happened so fast, neither Nolan or Ben had a chance to react.
Every window in the car had shattered, as the airbags released - wrapping around Nolan and creating a cushion for him as the car was tossed over the median and onto it's side like a toy.
Thay'd been hit in the side by a semi.
Ben had driven through a stop sign and pulled directly into the path of an 18 wheeler traveling over 35 miles an hour...
The hatchback was on it's side...
When the truck hit the car, the upper half of Ben's body was ejected from the side window.
The collision was so powerful that his lower abdomen waspractically cut in half by the seatbelt he was wearing.
While Nolan's body was being completely engulfed by the car's airbag, Ben was being cut in two.
Ben's airbag had pushed his body out of the driver's side window onto the pavement under the vehicle...
His head and torso were crushed...
Ben was killed twice before he even realized they'd been hit.
Nolan was completely unconscious - knocked all the way out by the shocking collision...
The accident's bystanders thought both men were dead...
But they weren't - Nolan Void was still alive.
Ben's mashed up body looked like hamburger meat all around the crushed car... The wrechage looked unsurvivable...
But as soon as the police arrived, they recognized that someone in the car was alive.
The jaws of life pulled him out of the smashed and crumpled car.
Nolan had survived the crash - but he didn't wake up...
His unconscious body was quickly pulled from the wreckage and pushed into an ambulance...
Though he remained completely comatose, his heart was still beating and his lungs still pulled air.
His survival was a miracle.
Though that wasn't the luck of Ben...
